Match Preview

Following last week's victory which ended the 100% record of leaders Radcliffe FC (Blue), Witton's Academy team travel to second-placed Matlock Town (Blue) in their latest NPL Football Academy Joma Division fixture on Wednesday afternoon. The Gladiators are now the only team in the division who still have an unblemished record going into the game. Matlock are one of two teams who have beaten Witton this season, Radcliffe FC being the only other team to inflict defeat on them. A Matlock victory would strengthen their position in second place in pursuit of Radcliffe FC but, if Witton were to continue their impressive start to the season and win the gap between the two would be down to one point albeit Matlock have played fewer games. The game is being played at The Proctor Cars Stadium with a 2pm kick off.
