Comeback as four second half goals preserve run.
Full Time Score from Wincham Park:
NPL Football Academy - Joma Division:
Witton Albion Academy 4 Leek Town 2.
Four second half goals preserved Witton's Academy team's unbeaten start to the NPL Football Academy season but they had to come from behind twice in order to secure the points.
Ben Brookes gave the visitors the lead in the first half and Witton went in 1-0 down at the break. Shortly after the start of the second half, striker Owen Wynne equalised for the Albion but Leek regained the lead for a second time almost immediately through Jessy Bavanganga. Defender Ollie Griffiths drew Witton level for a second time and within minutes, Cameron Birkett put them in front.
The scoring was completed just before the final whistle as Lucas Bowley added Witton's fourth, as they continued their impressive start to the season against a side who completed the double over Witton last season.
An excellent result sees Witton remain in fourth place in the JOMA Division table as the top three all won and have nine points - leaders Warrington Town having played four matches.
