A last gasp goal from Tom Owens earns Albion the three points to continue the unbeaten run to NINE games.

In a game that was a lot tough than the weekend's game versus Shaw Lane, an 88th minute winner from Tom Owens makes Wincham Park erupt with joy and relief as Albion snatch the three points from Stourbridge in a 1-0 victory.

The game started off with Luke Benbow and co. giving The Albion's backline some worries with several good moves that let Stourbridge's quality show through however those early chances were not to be converted. Witton soon gained control of the game with several opportunities to break the deadlock.

Steve Tames ran through on goal in the 11th minute only for a heavy touch to escape Tames' control and the ball was gathered by Stour keeper, Gould. A couple of minutes later, a loose cross from the right-hand side found Tom Owens at the far post who's left-footed volley was struck over the bar.

On the 16th minute, a superb diagonal ball from Danny McKenna found Steve Tames who ran through on goal in behind Glassboys captain, Paul McCone and his shot just went under Matthew Gould, the shot was eventually gathered.

Danny McKenna had a good effort in the 25th minute when the ball found him on the right-hand side only for his left-footed volley to be rifled into the side netting. The referee blew for half-time and Witton's lack of technical ability in the first half meant that Albion didn't have enough to break down a tough Stourbridge defence.

Most of the second half was pretty uneventful with very few chances. Micah Evans was brought on and he added more width and direct running to Witton's attack.

Stourbridge also had a couple of opportunities when Luke Benbow played a one-two with Kaiman Anderson only for Calvin Hare to tip the ball onto the bar.

In the 88th minute, a sweetly struck corner from Paul Williams found Tom Owens who headed the ball strongly into the net, sending Witton fans in the Wincham End into hysteria.

Witton hung on again for another 3 points pushing us up to 6th, 9 games unbeaten in the league which follows right up until 2017!

Next up we face Ashton United away at Hurst Cross as two in form sides clash for an all important three points. How far can this Albion side go?
