Under the guidance of former Runcorn Linnets & City of Liverpool boss Michael Ellison, Widnes have propelled themselves into the top ten in the table.

Last season the club were in danger of being relegated but managed to avoid the inter-step play offs that were in place at the time.

They are currently enjoying an excellent run being unbeaten in their last four games with three wins and a draw, the last game a creditable point against play off hopefuls Stalybridge Celtic.

The goals of James Steele who has netted thirteen goals so far has played a major role in their improvement in form.

Witton go into the game currently in fourth but a defeat would see their opponents climb above them in the table.

The two league meetings last season saw the results shared with Widnes prevailing at the U Lock It Stadium and Witton took the points from a victory at the DCBL Stadium, courtesy of goals from Cameron Fogerty, a Joe Duckworth penalty and Jamie Reed.

Former Albion striker Will Jones was on the scoresheet for Widnes that day.

Witton are in excellent form going into the game, a run that has seen them lose only once in their last eight games, the only blemish a narrow one-goal defeat at Nantwich Town.

Some huge games are ahead for Jon Macken’s team in the next few weeks but they can only focus on the game in front of them but, a result will have to be earned.

At roundabout, take 3rd exit towards Widnes Town Centre and then first left following brown signs to Halton Stadium (McDonald’s on the right). Take 2nd exit off the mini-roundabout into Lowerhouse Lane. (Total Distance - 20 miles).

Parking: The Car Park is next to the South Stand.

Admission is via Turnstiles S1 & S2. Supporters are seated in the South Stand. Please note: South Stand is the only stand open on matchdays.

A Cash turnstile will be open from 2pm on matchday.
