Witton Albion in The Community

Witton Albion in The Community (WAITC) has been constituted to deliver community engagement projects driven by local demand.

WAITC is committed to community participation in healthy recreation through football and other sports. The scheme provides people up to the age of 25 living in Northwich, Cheshire West, and the surrounding areas with access to programmes that will help young people to develop skills, capacities and capabilities; advance education; relieve unemployment and provide recreational and leisure activities for local people disadvantaged by age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances.

Through community partnership working, and by utilising Witton Albion FC, WAITC provides schools-based, multi sports coaching, promotes healthy living (via fit clubs and children’s healthy eating workshops); education (via mental health in sport workshops) and inclusivity (via disability football).

We also deliver youth diversionary schemes and volunteering opportunity for all ages through youth nights, match stewarding, social media and marketing.
