Witton’s Women’s team return to league action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Wirral-based Glenavon JFC Belles in a Cheshire Women’s Youth League Championship West fixture.
Last weekend saw Witton progress in the Challenge Cup with a convincing team performance and result at Warrington Rylands Women but now they turn their attention to their main priority.
Glenavon JFC Belles are currently second bottom in the Championship West table and have managed just one win from nine games played.
Witton kicked off their campaign back in September with a trip to Glenavon JFC Belles and secured a comfortable 3-0 win with goals from Jennifer Thompson, Cara Batty and Megan Bradshaw.
Still unbeaten after eleven games but the main aim will be to secure the three points as their quest to become champions edges ever nearer.
The team have approached each game in the same manner and they will be taking nothing for granted, a job still has to be done.
Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 2pm.
