Witton's Academy team secured third place in the Joma Division on Monday afternoon with a 2-1 win against Leek Town at Northwood Stadium in their penultimate fixture.

Following a goalless first half, two goals in a matter of minutes gave Albion the advantage as substitute Ollie Griffiths gave them the lead and that goal was quickly followed by a second from Oliver McDonough.

Leek managed a consolation in the dying minutes through Jessy Bavanganga but Witton saw the game through to secure the points. There was an outside chance of them finishing second behind champions Matlock Town but Radcliffe FC's convincing win over Sutton Coldfield Town, means Albion have to settle for third place with their final game at Ossett United to come on Friday afternoon.
