Witton's Academy team extended their unbeaten run to four games with a comfortable victory against Mickleover FC in their latest ESPFA National Cup Northern Group game at Sandbach Community Football Centre on Thursday afternoon.

The first half appeared to be a very tight encounter and it looked as though the sides were going to go in level at the break, before substitute Keegan Porter gave Witton the lead just before half time.

The second half saw Albion take complete control of the game and it was only a matter of time before the second goal came, courtesy of substitute Zach Williams.

Williams went on to complete his hat-trick with two more as Witton made it eighteen goals in four games and ten goals in two games against their Derbyshire opponents.

Two wins from their three group games puts Witton in a good position with a number of games still to come as they look to progress to the second phase.

Witton take a break now until Thursday, 3rd March - when they complete their Northern Division fixtures with a home game against Division winners Runcorn Linnets with a 12pm kick off but the venue is still to be confirmed.
