Academy team finally secure victory in Derbyshire.

Witton's Academy team finally picked up their first ESPFA Northern Division victory of the season at the eleventh attempt, with an excellent performance at Mickleover on Thursday afternoon.

The Derbyshire side were looking to complete the league double over Martyn Irvine's charges following their 3-1 victory at the U Lock It Stadium earlier in the campaign and at half time with the scores level at 1-1 it was evenly balanced.

The second half saw Albion in positive and determined mood and they ran away with it from then onwards largely due to the form of striker Dan Williams, who came on as a substitute and netted four times. The pick being a close-range volley from a left wing corner.

Louie McGarry added to the score whilst an own goal took Albion's total to six and their first three points of the campaign with Charlie Price & Lennon Higgins replies serving as mere consolation for the hosts.
