Witton complete a momentous week on Saturday afternoon, when they welcome Scarborough Athletic to the U Lock It Stadium in a Northern Premier League Premier Division fixture.

Three successive defeats still sees Albion in the relegation zone but performances of late have been good and they can certainly take positives from them, particularly the trip to title-chasing South Shields in midweek where we were very unlucky to come away with nothing.

On another day and with that little bit of luck, the result may have been different but that's gone and we now face another tough challenge against another in-form side.

The game is the third meeting between the two clubs this season with the honours shared so far with Albion ending Scarborough's FA Cup hopes earlier in the campain with a 2-0 success at The Flamingo Land Stadium courtesy of goals from Jawad Jebrin and the since departed James Hooper.

Scarborough gained "revenge" when the two sides met in the reverse league fixture, coming out on top by the odd goal in five. Goals from Will Jones and Callum Saunders weren't enough to deny the Seadogs the points.

The signing of Jesse Dowling had an instant impact on his debut in the North-East as he marked it with a goal, struck the crossbar and proved to be a constant threat to the South Shields defence throughout the game.

Witton will be hoping that he can continue in that vain of form in the coming weeks as matches come thick and fast and Witton aim to climb the table.

Scarborough will be looking to continue their recent form but Witton will be looking to build on recent performances and hopefully turn those into results.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.
