A Will Jones stunner from the halfway line formed part of an excellent display by Witton Albion as they picked up all three points with a 4-1 win away at Mickleover Sports.
Albion were in the lead early on as James Short's deflected effort caught out Sports goalkeeper Nathan Broome and flew into the back of the net after just four minutes.
The advantage was doubled on 41 minutes by Billy Smart who headed home at the far post for 2-0.
Seconds after the restart came Jones' stunner as he collected the ball, saw Broome off his line and sent a wonderful effort over the goalkeeper and into the net from the halfway line.
Albion's advantage was narrowed shortly after the break. Mason Warren slotted home from the penalty spot after Jiri Boula was brought down inside the box.
A couple of minutes before the end, Witton sealed an impressive win as Danny McKenna fired home a right-footed shot into the bottom corner.
Albion rise to sixth position in the BetVictor Norther Premier League Premier Division, leapfrogging the opposition and moving to within a point of the play-off zone.
Next up is a trip to Newcastle Town in the Integro Sport League Cup on Tuesday, before FC United of Manchester visit Wincham Park in the league next Saturday.
