Witton make the long trip to the North Yorkshire coast on Tuesday night when they travel to Scarborough Athletic in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The fixture also gives them the opportunity to visit a new stadium for the first time following the hosts promotion from Evo-Stik Division One North at the end of last season., when they finished as runners up to South Shields. The Boro' now find themselves back in their home town following a ten year exile, where they were playing their home games at neighbours Bridlington Town. Their start in the Premier Division has been strong to date although, they did suffer their first home defeat at the weekend to our Cheshire neighbours Nantwich Town. They do possess one of the most potent strike partnerships at this level with Michael Coulson & the much-travelled James Walshaw, which contributed more than fifty league goals in their promotion campaign. The two have begun well again this season but so have Witton as a defensive unit , keeping six clean sheets in all competitions going into the game. Scarborough currently sit in third place behind leaders Warrington Town and separated by two points whilst Albion have a chance to move into the top half with a victory. They go into the game on the back of an excellent performance and result last weekend at North Ferriby United and will want to continue their good form going into a huge FA Challenge Cup tie at the weekend but, that's one for the future. What matters for tonight, is trying to achieve victory against one of the top teams in the league and they are more than capable of that as they proved on their last visit to the Yorkshire seaside town. Kick off at Flamingo Land Stadium is 7.45pm.
