Biography

Manager, Manchester born 7/9/77 who began his career with Manchester United in 1995, joining Preston North End two years later, notching up 74 goals in his 229 (188 starts) matches until his departure to Manchester City in February 2002.

Scored 12 goals in 59 (31 starts) appearances during his three years with City notably scoring in a 2004 Manchester derby! He signed for Crystal Palace (16+14-2 goals) in 2005 and while there, was loaned to Ipswich Town (13+1-3). In 2007, he moved to Derby County (6+9) but was loaned out to Barnsley (11-3 goals).

Joined Barnsley (85+15-19 goals) permanently in January 2008 before signing for Walsall (75+8-17 goals) two years later. Released by the Saddlers at the end of the 2011–12 season he signed for Northwich Victoria (7-2 goals), before joining Stockport County (5+8-1) in 2013.

Appeared for Bamber Bridge in 2015 before turning to management with Radcliffe Borough (Sep 2017-Jan 2020) and then the second half of last season at Colne.

Jon gained an international cap for the Republic of Ireland in 2004 plus an England Under 20’s cap in 1997.
