Witton Albion striker Will Jones has unfortunately suffered a double fracture of the jaw, sustained during our BetVictor Northern Premier League encounter at Ashton United today.

The forward, who has scored six goals for Albion this term, picked up the injury while helping the ball on which led to Tom Owens opening the scoring for Witton after just eight minutes at Hurst Cross.

Will was taken straight to a local hospital where it was learned the extent of his injury.

We, of course, wish Will all the very best for a full and speedy recovery, and hope to see him back in a red and white shirt as soon as is possible.
