Witton's U21's made it three league wins on the run as they overcame Broadheath Central in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture at Thomas Holford Catholic College on Sunday afternoon.
A game played in breezy conditions and a very keenly contested fixture was lit up in the 21st minute, when James Rogers opened the scoring with a fine left-footed finish from the edge of the area following an excellent mazy run by the impressive Ryan Malone.
Ten minutes later, it was two-nil as Ryan Malone was brought down outside the area, James Rogers duly added his second of the afternoon with a free-kick from the right side of the area with the aid of a slight deflection.
Albion created further chances before the break but were unable to add to the two goals so went in at half time with a two-goal cushion.
The home side regrouped during the interval and had the better of the exchanges in the second half, and their efforts were rewarded on 65 minutes as they pulled a goal back through Charlie Ward.
Ryan Malone completed a fine afternoon as he fired home with the outside of his right foot late in the game to seal the points.
