Full Time Score from Rylands Recreation Club:
North West U21's Development League Premier Division:
Rylands FC 1 Witton Albion U21's Development Squad 6.
Witton's U21's Development Squad went goal-crazy when they took on Rylands FC last Sunday afternoon. The game was well and truly over as a contest, as Albion roared into a three-goal lead inside the first twenty five minutes.
Dual-registered Ryan Malone opened the scoring for Witton inside ten minutes, lobbing the Rylands keeper from outside the box. The lead was doubled on eighteen minutes as James Rogers curled home an exquisite right-foot free-kick. Five minutes later it was 3-0 as another James Rogers free-kick was spilled by the Rylands keeper allowing Ryan Malone to follow up and tap-in his second of the afternoon.
Rylands reduced the arrears on the half hour as a decent cut-back was guided beyond the reach of Albion keeper Jake Eastwood. Witton restored their three-goal advantage six minutes before the break, as Jack Walker scored the goal of the game. Following a great solo run, he cut inside from the right wing and finished beautifully with a left-footed strike which gave the Rylands keeper no chance and Albion went in 4-1 ahead at the interval.
The early part of the second half was quiet in comparison until the last fifteen minutes as Witton added two further goals to complete the victory. Witton added a fifth as Ryan Malone turned provider on 77 minutes as his cross was sidefooted home by Harrison Leake.
Zac Hutchinson completed the scoring two minutes later with an excellent free-kick.
