North West Youth Alliance:
Witton Albion Youth 3 St Helens Town AFC Youth 1.
Witton's Youth team continued their revival on Sunday afternoon beating St Helens Town 3-1 at Moss Farm. Following last weekend 's win against Crewe FC, Witton got off to a positive start on 23 minutes when Jordan Coles gave them the lead. The referee overruled the assistant who had flagged for offside against Zac Cooke.
Skipper and leading goalscorer Kyle Phipps followed up last week's treble when he added to Albion's lead on 36 minutes, meeting Joe Booth 's cross with a Powerful header from ten yards, before St Helens Town pulled one back a minute later to give themselves a chance. So Witton went in 2-1 in front at half time.
Zac Cooke restored Witton's two-goal advantage just after the hour mark volleying home right-footed from the edge of the area and that was the end of the scoring. Witton saw the game out comfortably to clinch the points against a side who played the last minutes of the game with nine men following two red cards.
