Congratulations to Witton Albion Academy graduate Owen Wynne who made his long-awaited debut for Witton Albion on Tuesday night against Stafford Rangers. Owen has been a prolific striker within the Academy set-up over the past two seasons and has been a regular part of the first team squad in recent weeks without actually getting any game experience until Tuesday's game. Circumstances were difficult for everyone involved but Owen was given his chance and appears to have done his progress no harm at all. In fact, the opportunity can only be good for his development and the experience he will surely gain from it. Testament to the work he has put in with Academy Team Manager Avron Franklin.
