Witton make the long trip to the Yorkshire coast for the second time this season, when they travel to Scarborough Athletic in a Northern Premier League Premier Division fixture on Saturday afternoon. Following the disappointing result and performance at Nantwich Town on Bank Holiday Monday, Witton will be looking to improve on the start to the campaign which has seen them collect four points from the first nine. Scarborough sit just above the Albion in the league table currently in 13th place but like ourselves consistency is something they're still looking for. Last season's meetings between the two clubs saw them share one win apiece Scarborough prevailing on the own ground by two goals to nil and Witton coming out on top in the return fixture at Wincham Park. Both clubs have added to their squads during the summer whilst there have also been departures but Scarborough will be looking to challenge the top of the table as the season progresses. Witton will also look to challenge but both clubs circumstances are different in respect of financial backing. The pre season has also seen the further development of the Flamingo Land Stadium with the addition of the new stand so off the field also progress is being made. The game represents Witton's third game on the road already following trips to Whitby Town and Nantwich Town so the miles off the pitch are already being clocked up. It's on the pitch which matters and Witton will be going there to hopefully get a positive result in order to put a winning run together in the coming weeks. It's early days still but three points would do very nicely but they will need to be at their best to achieve that and as we all know, anything can happen in football. Kick off at Flamingo Land Stadium is 3pm.
