Wincham Park will shortly host an international Match. As part of the 2018 U17s tournament, we will play host to USA U17s v Russia U18s on Tuesday 16th October 2018. 7pm KO. The game is being played after discussions with the FA over the last month. Witton Albion Chairman John Salmon said “We are delighted to be staging a game of this stature at the stadium. It is a testament to the quality of our facility and playing surface that we are able to do so! Witton Albion is a centre for football of a very high quality in the area. We will be linking with Witton Albion Juniors, together with local schools and clubs to make this a truly memorable experience for all.” He went on to add tongue in cheek that “It might also be an opportunity for a summit between leaders of World Superpowers although neither The White House nor The Kremlin have contacted us as yet!”
