We are delighted to announce that the NPL has now agreed commercial terms with Pitchero for the roll-out of Pitchero Play across all NPL member clubs

The League board has agreed that this will be a mandatory initiative undertaken across all clubs. Under the terms of the agreement, Pitchero will provide all equipment and a trained cameraman to film each of your remaining home matches during the 2016/17 season; there is no cost to your club whatsoever and your club will share in the income generated through a revenue share agreement between the League and Pitchero.

The roll-out is explained on the attached document. Some key elements to which we would draw your specific attention are as follows:-

· Your club will be required to provide a suitable location within your stadium from which to film home matches.

· Pitchero will provide a trained cameraman who is responsible for the equipment and who will be paid £25 per match to ensure continuity of service.

· All of the match clips will be automatically published on your official Club website and social media channels, regardless of whether your club uses a Pitchero site. Your secretary will shortly receive details of how to add the Pitchero Play e-player to your site, which is a mandatory requirement.

· All match clips will automatically appear on the League website AND the websites of local newspapers, thereby giving your club more exposure.

· A full uninterrupted video of the game will be saved on the memory card in the camera, which can be saved to a computer and used by club coaching staff for performance analysis tools.

· If your club already films games, your existing cameraman can either use the Pitchero Play equipment and be paid £25 per match OR your existing cameraman can continue as normal and Pitchero will provide an additional cameraman who should be made welcome and given adequate space in which to film.

· Pitchero will work closely with each club to share the video clips to the widest possible audience, promoting the club and its partners to new audiences

You may be interested to know that a recent trial of Pitchero Play increased game time traffic to an NPL club website by 400% compared to when Pitchero Play was not being used. This underlines the commercial opportunities for your club both locally and, via the NPL website, centrally.

It is vitally important that we realise the full potential of this project, especially at a time when we are negotiating for future League sponsorship rights. Your Chairman has been sent a similar email by Mark Harris to make them aware of what is going to happen and to ask for their support.

This is an exciting initiative which we hope will bring much needed additional revenues to all clubs. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A MANDATORY LEAGUE REQUIREMENT WITH NO OPT-OUT AND CLUB COMPLIANCE WILL BE POLICED.
